Talent First Network Home grown projects are led by faculty members that demonstrate the use of open source in a various fields.

The Talent First Network is currently funding talented students working on the following faculty-led open source projects:

    • James Green Open source library of bioinformatics algorithm implementations (Biomedical)
    • Michael Jemtrud Blender 3D modeling/animation (Architecture)
    • Trevor Pearce Open real time infrastructure (Real time)
    • Gabriel Wainer Advanced crowd simulation models (Modelling and simulation)
    • Anthony Whitehead Winnipeg general strike (New media)
